University of Maryland Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD OB/GYN Hospitalist Opportunity Sign-On Bonus Available The Opportunity: University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center is home to the Dresher Family Birthplace and sees approximately 1,400 annual deliveries. It's part of the UM Medical System, and sister hospital to OBHG partner Charles Regional Medical Center. The facility offers 14 private labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum rooms - including one with a labor tub - along with a Level II NICU. It is also a designated Baby-Friendly hospital. Expectant mothers are encouraged to personalize their birth plans with support from physicians and certified nurse-midwives, and an array of classes are available to prepare the entire family for their new arrival. OBHG OB/GYN Hospitalists are the in-house experts whose ability to handle any obstetric emergency dramatically improves patient safety and satisfaction. This opportunity involves working collaboratively with local obstetricians to ensure that every pregnant woman who presents to the hospital is cared for by an experienced physician every time. We are seeking OB/GYNs with exceptional clinical and communication skills, a passion for healthcare quality improvement, and a desire to shape the future of our specialty. Full-time Hospitalist have the freedom to create their own schedules typically eight 24-hour shifts per month with no on-call duty or office management.
