About the RoleWe're in search of a dynamic Pediatric & Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our Clinical team. This role presents a distinctive opportunity to influence patient care, collaborating with our team of Pediatric Dentists & Orthodontists, as well as Ritual's product and technology teams. Nestled in the heart of iconic Tribeca, NY, our modern office serves as a canvas for creativity and collaboration. This is a part time role, and is in person, based in Tribeca, New York City.
Responsibilities- Assist Pediatric Dentist & Orthodontist in dental procedures including fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions, and other pediatric dental services as well as teeth whitening, invisalign, orthodontic adjustments and placement of appliances
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Take digital X-rays, intraoral scans and 3D CBCT
- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures
- Educate patients & their parents or caregivers on oral hygiene and postoperative care
- Maintain patient records and documentation
- Perform administrative tasks as needed
- Collaborate with the Pediatric Dentist, Orthodontist, & Dental Practice Manager to identify opportunities to improve the patient experience and team workflows
- Experience assisting pediatrics & orthodontics
- Must be a New York State Licensed Registered Dental Assistant
- 2+ years of experience as a dental assistant
- Active CPR/BLS certification
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Enthusiasm for collaboration
- Is proactive, adaptable, & resourceful when working with children & families
- Willingness to learn & demonstrated ability to coach others
- Experience working in a tech enabled company
- Experience assisting pediatrics & other specialties
The base pay range for this position is $30 - $35/hour.
Individual compensation for this role will depend on a variety of factors including qualifications, skills and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our competitive benefits plans.
