Job Description
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant for a non-profit in New York. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be primarily responsible for handling office administration tasks in an efficient manner. Your key duties will include processing checks from donors, managing mail, and entering data accurately.
Responsibilities
• Accurately process and deposit checks received from donors
• Efficiently handle inbound and outbound calls and provide excellent customer service
• Manage mail and perform document scanning tasks diligently
• Maintain precise data entry and manage email correspondence effectively
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for various administrative tasks
• Schedule appointments and maintain an organized office routine
• Monitor and manage customer accounts and take necessary actions as required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Experience in handling both inbound and outbound calls
• Exceptional customer service skills and detail-oriented phone manner
• Ability to perform data entry tasks with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proven experience in scheduling appointments and managing calendars
• Ability to handle email correspondence efficiently and detail-oriented
• Experience in check deposit and document scanning procedures
• Comfortable with computer data entry tasks
• Ability to answer inbound calls promptly and detail-oriented
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work output
