Robert Half is hiring: Accounting Analyst in Knoxville

We are offering a contract opportunity for an Accounting Analyst in Knoxville, Tennessee until May of 2025. This role will be part-time hours (20hrs/week) and involve managing multiple projects in the accounting sector, utilizing various software systems, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data for a multiple project in downtown Knoxville.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and research past accounting entries to ensure accuracy and transparency.

• Oversee the reconciliation of account balances and carry out cash reconciliations.

• Detect and report any misallocated funds to ensure proper usage.

• Utilize ERP software to process all accounts payable invoices accurately.

• Conduct thorough audits on invoices and supervise the allocation of consultant pay.

• Efficiently manage multiple project accounts simultaneously.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for tracking and analyzing forensic financial data.

• Handle various accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable.

• Employ auditing and billing functions to maintain financial integrity.

• Utilize accounting software systems for efficient and accurate data management.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of accounting or related roles.

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is mandatory.

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required.

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions.

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

• Prior experience in Auditing is highly desirable.

• Ability to perform Billing Functions effectively.

• Knowledge of Forensic Accounting is a plus.

• Experience in Project Accounting would be beneficial.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for accounting purposes.

• Capable of performing Account Reconciliation tasks.

• Experience in Cash Reconciliations is required.

• Ability to handle Credit Card Reconciliation tasks.
