We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join a growing Managed Service Provider team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in configuring and managing advanced cybersecurity tools, strengthening network and cloud infrastructures, and delivering cutting-edge security solutions for a diverse range of clients. This role demands a proactive approach to securing IT environments while collaborating on innovative solutions to complex challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and optimize SIEM solutions to detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats.
- Develop and fine-tune alerts, dashboards, and reports to improve threat detection capabilities.
- Implement and manage Common Criteria for Evaluation (CCE) configurations and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Configure and monitor firewalls to enhance network perimeter security, including policy management and rule tuning.
- Apply general hardening techniques to network equipment, servers, and cloud environments to protect against vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates to security configurations in line with best practices.
- Assess, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities identified through security scans, penetration tests, or other assessments.
- Document remediation efforts and communicate progress with stakeholders.
- Lead or assist with the rollout of Microsoft Intune MDM (Mobile Device Management) solutions for client environments.
- Configure policies and ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
- Work closely with clients to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate security solutions into broader IT projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in cybersecurity roles, preferably within an MSP environment.
- Strong expertise in SIEM tools and firewall security configuration.
- Proficiency in network equipment hardening and cloud security practices.
- Familiarity with Intune MDM configuration and management.
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability management and remediation.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CCSP, or Microsoft Security certifications are a plus.
