Accounting Manager Job at Robert Half in Minneapolis

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in the medical device industry based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This position will allow the successful candidate to work remotely or choose a hybrid option.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee general accounting tasks including account reconciliations and journal entry posting.

• Contribute to the accounting aspects of key projects

• Consolidate and reconcile financials, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of tax implications related to various scenarios.

• Lead the establishment of new processes, addressing complex accounting issues that may arise from this project.

• Extract transactional details, build a trial balance, and reconcile the trial balance.

• Manage the processing of journal entries and consolidation of numbers.

• Construct full balance sheets, Profit & Loss statements, and cash flow reports.

• Compile financials, ensuring the data is accurately represented.

• Direct and review the work of an Entry Level Accountant, promoting collaboration and efficiency.

• Proficient in Trial Balance, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the ledger.
• Ability to Prepare Balance Sheets, demonstrating financial position at a specific point in time.
• Strong understanding of Profit and Loss accounts, reflecting the company's revenues and expenses during a specified period.
• Expertise in generating Cash Flow Reports, showing how changes in balance sheet accounts and income affect cash and cash equivalents.
• Proficiency in creating Cash Flow Statements, outlining the flow of cash in and out of the business.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, to perform financial calculations, data analysis, and reporting.
• Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, for managing current financial data in a flexible environment.
• Familiarity with Cognos Business Intelligence software, for better financial performance visibility.
