Job Title: Heavy Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Heavy Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling large and complex equipment, ensuring precise builds, and maintaining high-quality standards. You will work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, rotating through various production tasks while maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.
Responsibilities
Collect all components required for each assembly task
Install bearings, bushings, and other key parts into machine components
Assemble large and complex equipment made of multiple sub-assemblies
Follow assembly drawings to ensure precise builds
Inspect assemblies to guarantee proper fit and function
Communicate any issues or delays to management
Mount mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems onto machines
Rotate through various production tasks and conduct quality inspections
Prepare finished products for shipment and maintain a clean, orderly workspace
Essential Skills
Previous experience in mechanical assembly
Experience working with hand and power tools
Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and assembly drawings
Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Ability to use drill presses and hydraulic/manual presses
Organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Strong problem-solving skills with a critical thinking mindset
Drive for continuous improvement and willingness to learn
Work Environment
You will work in a machine shop environment, handling various mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. The workspace is equipped with drill presses and hydraulic/manual presses. Maintaining a clean and orderly workspace is essential.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $68640.00/hr.
