Registered Nurse (RN)
### Job Specialty: ICU Resource Team
### Job Duration: 13 weeks
### Shift: Day/Night Rotating
### Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
### Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience in a large hospital (over 200 beds), level 1 trauma center
### License: ND or compact state RN License
### Certifications: - BLS (AHA) - ACLS (AHA) - NIHSS
### Must-Have: - Experience titrating vasopressor drips - EPIC EMR experience
### Job Description: - Manage 1-3 critically ill patients, including neuro, cardiac, CT surgery, trauma, medical, and surgical patients. - Administer and manage vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropics, antiarrhythmics, and other titratable drips. - Assist with bedside procedures such as RSI, EVD placement, tracheostomy, line placement, and other diagnostic tests. - Utilize equipment including EPIC EMR, automated dispensing cabinets, IV and feeding pumps, IABP, EVD, patient monitoring systems, and Impella. - Attend a total of 32 hours of orientation, covering hospital orientation, unit-specific training, and ICU-specific training across multiple ICU departments. - Be flexible to float to different ICU units with varying nurse-to-patient ratios as needed. - Call in prior to each shift to determine assigned critical care unit. - Work every other weekend and holiday; possibility to work all weekends for straight day shifts. - Wear navy scrubs as part of the dress code.
Note: The position requires periodic floating across different facilities within close proximity and is not available to local residents within a specified distance.
