Support M&R Finance by leveraging programming skills, problem solving, business and finance knowledge to maintain and enhance a financial reporting database leveraged across the entire Medicare business. The Analyst will apply SAS/SQL programming to capture business and accounting logic to ensure accurate financial data is available to end users. This position offers a unique blend of technical and finance exposure. You’re at the center of the leading Medicare Advantage insurer, and it’s both challenging and rewarding.
If you are located in Minnetonka, MN, you will have the flexibility to work from home and in the office (2 days per week in 9800 building in Minnetonka) in this hybrid role* as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop SAS programs to query the general ledger, output tables, source systems, etc. to identify and problem solve breakdowns in logic
Work with accounting, finance, and end users to understand appropriate business logic needed for accurate reporting
Own and maintain the monthly financial reporting process, creating dashboards used by teams across the business
Support models used for the financial forecasting process; running models, trouble shooting, and building out enhancements as the logic evolves
Lead special projects to improve our data infrastructure and operational efficiencies

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or a related field
1+ years of experience working with data and/or programming; either from educational study or professional experience
Work experience in a corporate setting or internship related
Demonstrated ability to problem solve and get to the root cause of an issue
Proven self-starter with the ability to work through ambiguity and learn on the fly
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in finance or accounting; either from educational study or professional experience
Experience with SAS, SQL, or other programming language
Experience with advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, index match, etc.)
Experience working with healthcare data
