Title:Director, Quality Assurance
Salary:$85,000
Program Overview:
The Program Evaluation and Quality Assurance (PEQA) Department designs, implements, and manages PRI’s systems of performance measurement and management, quality assurance, and quality improvement. PEQA’s objective is to enhance the agency’s ability to achieve its mission by developing and facilitating processes that measurably improve the quality and effectiveness of our services and operations, and to support agency leadership in managing towards high performance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
We are seeking to fill the role of Director of Quality Assurance in January 2025. The Director of Quality Assurance reports to the Senior Director of PEQA and is responsible for overseeing and implementing organizational systems that ensure the highest quality of care in the agency’s shelter, housing, and substance use treatment programs. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following activities:
Develop, lead, and manage quality assurance systems across shelter, housing, and substance use treatment programs at Project Renewal in accordance with external regulatory requirements and internal standards for case management and counseling documentation;
Manage system of on-site case record reviews, utilization reviews, and program self-reviews using appropriate sampling methodologies and ensuring timely completion of all activities;
Supervise and mentor a team of Quality Analysts;
Oversee client satisfaction and needs assessment surveys, partnering with performance analytics team to summarize data and present actionable feedback to program/agency leadership;
Partner with program staff to implement targeted improvement efforts, including developing and monitoring internal corrective active plans where necessary;
Train program staff/supervisors in conducting internal quality assurance processes;
Support program readiness for external audits and monitor progress on corrective action plans submitted to external regulators and/or licensing agencies (e.g., OASAS, OMH);
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing, shelter, and substance treatment program regulations and partner with program staff, IT, and/or compliance teams to implement revisions in record systems and monitoring tools to align documentation with changes to external and internal standards;
Collaborate with Senior Director of Clinical Development & Training on periodic revisions of Project Renewal’s Standards of Practice for Case Documentation and provide training, support, and guidance to program staff on best practices;
Collaborate with performance analytics, training, IT, compliance, and evaluation staff to design and conduct trainings and other capacity building activities around a variety of topics, including service documentation, database usage, program planning, performance measurement and monitoring, and evaluation;
Perform a variety of data management, analysis, and visualization projects to support performance measurement and program evaluation activities as needed;
Support administrative functions of the department (i.e., project planning, co-leading departmental all-hands, timesheet management, etc.)
Champion PEQA’s mission, values, and customer service orientation to support agency programs in managing towards excellence;
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in social work or related field, or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years’ experience in human services, quality assurance, or related field;
Prior supervisory experience preferred;
Experience working with adults with mental health and/or substance use issues, in homeless shelters or supportive housing;
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills;
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders to understand and incorporate diverse points of view, styles, and approaches;
Familiarity with and/or ability to adapt to various web-based case management databases used throughout the agency (Foothold AWARDS, CARES, eClinicalWorks, Salesforce, etc.);
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other tools for data collection and analysis.
All newly hired Project Renewal staff must provide verification of being fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
