Salary:

Summary:

  • Ensures the security and safety of the guests, team members, cash and physical assets of the Casino

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitors performance of Security Officers ensuring adherence to Golden Eagle Casino policies and applicable laws
  • Prepares performance evaluations on Security officers directly under their supervision
  • Prepares the schedules of the Security Officers
  • Assists in developing and implementing policies and procedures for the Security Department
  • Coaches and counsels Security Officers promptly and professionally
  • Documents all counseling sessions with Security Officers
  • Ensures the Security of the facility
  • Investigates gaming violations and incidents of internal thefts, frauds and related offenses
  • Maintains and controls access to restricted Casino areas
  • Acts as liaison with management and tribal police to ensure optimum cooperation
  • Maintains first aid and emergency medical supplies
  • Ensures the safety of guests and employees in the event of an emergency
  • Maintains all required logs as directed by compact agreement
  • Maintains integrity of lost or found property
  • Fosters and maintains positive player/house relation
  • Informs Security Manager of all pertinent security and staff incidents as required
  • Performs Drug/Alcohol testing in accordance to the Handbook and policies and procedures
  • Performs functions of subordinate positions as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervises Security Officers
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the casino’s policies and applicable laws 
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

  • Security office, Security Supervisor office, EMT Room, and Administration offices
  • Count Rooms
  • Manual Table Game Fill/Credit Dispensing Machine
  • Manual EGD Jackpot/Fill Dispensing Machine
  • All Gaming areas and Table Game Drop Boxes
  • Casino Cashiers Cage and Vault
  • Incident report files
  • Cards & Dice Room

 

Signatory Ability:

  • Incident report forms, all other Security forms
  • Table Games Fill/Credit Slips, EGD Jackpot/Fill Slips
  • Counseling forms, early out requests, all other related team member forms
  • Cards/Dice Cancellation Log
  • Voided Documentation –Pit fill/Credit
  • Found Money Form/Log
  • Key Control Logs
  • Visitors’ Badge Logs


Education and/or Experience:

  • Associates Degree in Criminal Justice or Business Management is preferred
  • High school diploma or GED, required
  • Four to five years experience in law enforcement or Security is preferred (police, military, or Security)
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience, some college would be desirable

 

Language Skills:

  • Must have good English speaking and writing skills.
  • Must be able to produce organized and clearly written reports

 

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Should have general knowledge of criminal offenses, and the regulations concerning tribal gaming
  • Should have a general knowledge about modern methods of surveillance and security, first aid and fire safety procedures, training methods, detainment and arrest procedures, investigative and handling evidence
