BGI Security, LLC offers comprehensive site security and security escort services to commercial and federal clients nationwide. Our security personnel are highly trained professionals and are the finest security specialists in the industry, with many of our team members being military veterans, former law enforcement, and first responders. We are currently looking for Unarmed Security Guards to join our dynamic team in Phoenix, AZ. The site location is Bell Road and 7th Street.

Position Overview:

The security officer's role is crucial in maintaining excellent working conditions at our premises. They will be responsible for surveilling our premises and safeguarding our staff and visitors at a designated work site. Their duties include detecting suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, theft, or other criminal activities. The security officer must be proficient in surveillance techniques and dealing with perpetrators. An ideal candidate should inspire respect for authority and have a keen sense of observation. Our goal is to ensure the safety and security of our facilities, providing a comfortable and secure environment for our staff and visitors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a presence
  • Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people on the property
  • Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
  • Secure all exits, doors, and windows after the end of operations
  • Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
  • Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
  • Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
  • Provide assistance to people in need
  • Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences

Qualifications:

  • DPS licensed AZ Unarmed Guard card is required.
  • Proven experience as a security officer or guard.
  • Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
  • Familiarity with detailed report writing and observation techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design), the Incident Command System, and critical infrastructure protection.
  • Prior military or law enforcement experience is advantageous.
  • Bilingual ability is a plus.
  • Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
  • Tech-savvy, with experience in surveillance systems.
  • Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense.
  • Registered as a security officer.
  • High school diploma required.


Physical Requirements:

  • Demonstrate consistent punctuality and reliable attendance.
  • Capable of spending up to 100% of work time standing, walking, and moving throughout the site.
  • Ability to lift objects up to 25 lbs as required.
  • Comfortable and capable of regularly bending, stooping, squatting, or crouching, with frequency and duration subject to business needs.
  • Able to safely and efficiently enter and exit company patrol vehicles and golf carts as needed.
