GENERAL SUMMARY

This is an hourly position in City of Industry, CA that reports to the VP of Sales & Marketing. Ensures excellent service standards & maintaining high customer satisfaction by acting as a liaison.

SCOPE OF JOB FUNCTION:

  • Receive, process, & acknowledge customer orders via EDI.
  • Review availability of stock & shipping dates.
  • Manage & resolves customer complaints & concerns.
  • Maintain liaison with other departments for order completion & shipment.
  • Resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable on sales order invoicing & discrepancy investigation.
  • Prepare & request Return Authorizations as appropriate.
  • Knowledge of product line, prices, transit times, & customer agreements.
  • Establish & maintain a positive working relationship with customers, warehouse team, Sales representatives, Brokers, & inner office departments.
  • Take responsibility to service assigned accounts & understand requirements of each customer.
  • Provide excellent customer service & build customer satisfaction.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to other departments & management.
  • Process sample order to be shipped to customers.
  • Maintain sales orders files by customer & ship date.
  • Assist with recall & traceability exercises.
  • Prepare Reports on weekly/daily basis.
  • Backup to receptionist/front desk.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERINCE

REQUIRED:

  • Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3-5 years’ minimum related customer service experience.
  • Excellent communication & listening skills.
  • Possess time management skills & the ability to prioritize in a demanding environment.
  • Competent computer skills that include Microsoft Office, ERP systems.
  • Ability to multi-task & detail oriented.
  • Must have good written & verbal communication skills.
  • Strong phone presence with a great attitude.

DESIRED:

  • A.A. Degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing environment & practices.
