The Director of Accounting Responsibilities;

• The Director of Accounting will be responsible for the accounting functions from the expense side.
• Responsible for the review of the team, including hands on responsibility for month end close including creating and entering journal entries, reconciliations, heavy inter-company, accruals and allocations.
• Pension footnotes, incentive accruals, financial reporting.
• Pension footnotes, other related parts of expense footnotes
• Supporting audit (internal/external)
• Budgeting & forecasting.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications of the Director of Accounting

• CPA is a plus and SEC experience is a plus.
• Experience working in insurance industry or public accounting experience (insurance clients) is highly preferred.
• GAAP Accounting, footnotes disclosure.
