About the Role
InvestCloud is looking for a dynamic Senior Manager, International Accounting is responsible for overseeing accounting, finance, and compliance operations across the US, EMEA, and APAC regions. This role involves managing a corporate accounting team, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with US and local GAAP, and driving process improvements within the international finance function. As a commercially focused leader, the Controller will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the organization's financial health, playing a pivotal role in the month-end close process and supporting external audits.
What does a great Senior Manager, International Accounting do?
A successful Senior Manager, International Accounting Lead day-to-day accounting and finance operations across multiple subsidiaries in Europe, Asia, and the US. Effectively manages a team of accounting professionals, ensuring the accurate recording of transactions and reconciliations in compliance with GAAP (US and local)
How you will provide meaningful contributions: Partner with external advisors (auditors, tax authorities) to ensure timely compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Support the preparation, consolidation, and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provide detailed financial analysis, reporting variances, and communicating financial insights to senior leadership. Assist in the transformation of the International Finance Function alongside Global Controller and FP&A leadership. Establish and maintain controls to ensure accurate financial reporting in line with internal and external policies. Lead the preparation and review of complex journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Collaborate on cross-departmental initiatives to ensure compliance and efficiency in financial processes. Play a key leadership role in the development of business processes, ensuring strong internal controls are maintained. Prepare and review financial statements, tax filings, and compliance documents across the US, EMEA, and APAC regions. Lead the team in the month-end close process, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting. Provide mentorship, supervision, and performance evaluations to corporate accounting staff. Support external audits and address inquiries from auditors and internal stakeholders. Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
Professional Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment. Experience working in a multi-currency and dual-reporting environment (US & Local GAAP). Strong operational knowledge of US GAAP and local GAAP requirements. Experience managing international finance functions and external compliance with various tax authorities and audit requirements. Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across global teams. Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with ERP systems like NetSuite. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively. Ability to develop relationships with international teams and external stakeholders. Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a proven track record in mentoring and managing teams. Preferred Skills / Experience
Experience with finance transformation and accounting automation solutions is a plus.
