It provides services to infants, children, and adults with developmental and related disabilities. NJID offers specialized facilities, programs, and support throughout New Jersey. We are hiring Overnight Direct Support Professionals to assist residents with developmental disabilities with daily living activities in a residential setting. Please be advised that you must be awake during your shift.

Job Responsibilities of an Overnight Direct Support Professional:
  • Assist and supervise activities related to daily living skills.
  • Administer or assist with prescribed medication.
  • Light housekeeping
  • Assist with transportation
  • Assist in the implementation of individual goals and objectives.
  • Data entry using Therap (EHR)
  • Assist residents in pursuing recreational, social, and community activities based on their preferences and individual plans.

Job Requirements:
  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license is in good standing and must be insurable through NJID's automobile insurance.
  • Strong communication skills

NO certification required

Position Details:

Location: Toms River County: Ocean

Hours Per Work Week: 30 Weekly Work Schedule: Sun - Tues 11:30p - 9:30a

Other shifts are available at this location.

NJID has full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities in Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Somerset Counties.
