Silicon & semiconductor components enable all the camera systems. To meet the expected performance and enable flawless integration into the Apple architecture, the majority of these components are custom designed and fabricated to our needs. The long lead times means that doing it right the first time is key to success. Our Apple Custom Silicon Management Team is looking for an Engineering Project Manager (EPM) to support the design, development and integration of image sensors and VCSELs into camera modules for our vast array of products.
In this highly multi-functional role, leveraging your design background, you will oversee the efforts to drive programs from kick-off to production oftentimes aligning with Silicon engineering, Camera Module, SoC, FW, SW, Procurement and Operations teams. Additionally, you will forge strategic relationships with internal & external teams to lead issue resolution, communicate status/issues/next steps and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role will also entail driving Apple semiconductor suppliers to design, manufacture and integrate the world's best imaging sensors and depth technology for Apple's entire product line.

You will be the advocate for the component definition and performance throughout the organization. In addition, you will actively seek out and ensure proper multi-functional input and review of specifications and drive efficient and thorough evaluation of components, both internally and at our development partners. You are responsible for delivering components on schedule, facilitating risk management, and communicating status & issues to the development team and Apple executives. If you are a structured and focused organizer with the ability to drive a versatile, passionate, experienced multi-functional team and external suppliers, this role is for you.Minimum QualificationsBS + 3 years of relevant experienceDirect experience with analog, digital, and/or mixed signal design flowAbility to travel internationallyPreferred Qualifications5+ years working with CMOS Image sensors or related fieldUnderstanding CMOS pixel design and performance metricsPrior silicon program management experienceFamiliarity with driving feature set for new silicon, and the silicon design processExperience with international silicon foundry partnersUnderstanding of high volume production and test processesExtraordinary listening, presentation and interpersonal skillsPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
