Let’s create tomorrow together.We are seeking a Technical Program Manager, with a strong background in electro-mechanical hardware based products, to join our Asset Tracking Solutions, Asset Location Technology business group based in either our Holtsville, NY or Lincolnshire, Ill facility!The Asset Tracking Solutions, Asset Location Technology business develops Zebra's extensive range of RFID readers, and antennas, as well as Zebra's desktop, mobile, industrial, and portable printers for barcode labels, receipts, RFID tags; enabling smarter ways to track and manage assets.A Technical Program Manager’s primary responsibility will be leading cross functional team of Design Engineers, Test Engineers, Operations, etc. from initial concept to deployment. You will be responsible to deliver complex program objectives, including product performance, quality goals, regulatory compliance requirements, cost, schedule and development budget.***Location: Hybrid- Holtsville, NY or Lincolnshire, IL Responsibilities:Independently execute to complex program plans and budgets for multiple, large projects by creating cross functional workstreams and driving execution from product concept through manufacturing deployment.Collaborating with Product Management, Marketing, Engineering and Operations to define the scope, solidify the business case, and author the product development plan.Independently coordinates deliverables and project assets to assist the project team. Personally, anticipates and addresses obstacles or issues that are moderate to significant in severity and escalates complex issues to management for assistance. Organizes and presents business, technical and program status reviews to Senior Leadership using email, digital media, dashboards and project management tools.Build relationships in a highly collaborative fashion, working across all relevant areas of the business, with cross-functional teams in numerous time zones. Recommend corrective actions and implement changes. Identify and mitigate risks; develop and implement risk mitigation plans. Owns ensuring alignment from key leaders of milestone achievement before moving the program forward.Motivate a project team to ensure solutions are reliable and of quality, Ability to translate program development problems into solution outcomes.Anticipates and addresses risks, obstacles or issues. Independently engagesadditional resources as needed to address obstacles or delays taking into consideration schedule and budget adjusting the project with minimal impact to the business.Define strategic initiatives to continuously evolve the business procedures to apply industry best practices for product development. Be well versed with Finance fundamentals in order to develop program budgets and manage program finances to align with quarterly metrics.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical BS degree.8+ years of experience.2+ years of experience leading or managing others. Leading cross-functional teams; demonstrated ability to translate engineering estimates into resource, budget, schedule planning required.Engineering Lead / Program Management experience for products required. Experience in developing requirements and designing Hardware products for consumer or enterprise products (such as cell phones, imaging, vision, printers, laptops etc.) required.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree beneficial.Experience working in a fast passed environment. Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels, including C-level leaders both internally and externally. Self-motivated, results driven, manages risks, and thrives in an environment of continuous innovation. Able to drive definition and creation of solutions from skeleton use cases.Experienced team builder, great at managing diverse personalities; proven interpersonal skills to collaboratively solve difficult technical, quality, cost, and schedule problems.Strong strategic leadership, analytical approach, critical thinking and questioning skills.Excellent written and oral communication skillsDevelop and protect intellectual property; be well versed with IP fundamentalsIntermediate to advanced communication and facilitation skills. Formal training preferred.Demonstrated working knowledge of advanced concepts with PMI/PMBOK program management approaches, tools and methodologies. PMP certification preferred.This is a hybrid role.
