Next Generation Spectacles are our first pair of glasses that bring augmented reality to life.We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer to join the Snap Lab team! What you’ll do:Own schematic design, component selection and stackup definition for boards from concept to final deliverableDesign in complex SOCs, PMICs, Wireless ICs and sensors used in low-power consumer electronicsLead and contribute to technical design reviewsSupervise and review layout for PCB, Flex, and Rigid Flex designsDebug hardware issues with cross-functional teams such as desense, power states, signal integrity, ESD and EMITest and validate all board level and systems level aspects of electrical designsCollaborate closely with mechanical, software, RF, thermal and industrial design teamsAuthor clear and comprehensive electrical test documentationDevelop electronic prototypes for new product conceptsSupport development builds onsite at external contract manufacturersTravel internationally up to 20%Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and understanding of best practicesExperience in electronic design, including component selection, schematic design, and familiarity with schematic capture and layout toolsExperience in design of battery operated systems including chargers, fuel gauges and battery protection circuitsExperience working with various communication interfaces such as USB, I2C/I3C, SPI, UART, MIPI, SWD and PCIE Knowledge of layout strategies and tradeoffs for linear and switching power supply circuits, EMI mitigation, high-speed signal integrity and power delivery networksExperience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, battery simulators, logic analyzers and thermal chambersStrong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across groups through written, verbal and visual formatsMinimum Qualifications: BS/BA degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field or equivalent years of experience3+ years of experience in electrical or hardware engineering Preferred Qualifications:MS in Electrical Engineering or related fieldExperience developing consumer electronic devices at production scaleExperience with Cadence Orcad and AllegroExperience navigating failure analysis with external vendorsExperience with overseas manufacturingIf you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please don’t be shy and provide us some information."Default Together" Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position.These pay zones may be modified in the future.Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):The base salary range for this position is $138,000-$207,000 annually.Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $131,000-$197,000 annually.Zone C:The base salary range for this position is $117,000-$176,000 annually.This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.SummaryLocation: Los Angeles, California; Palo Alto, CaliforniaType: Full time
