Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Neurology in California

Job Title: Physician Job Specialty: Neurology Job Duration: Ongoing Shift: Day - 5x8 - 9am - 5pm Guaranteed Hours: 8 hours per day Experience: Not specified License: Must be board certified Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - Electromyogram (EMG) skills - Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV) tests skills - Botulinum toxin administration (Botox) Job Description: - LOCUM role in Neurology with a potential for ongoing placement. - Full-time need, preferably for a local physician. - Orientation required in the clinic setting; no privileging required. - Work hours from 8am-5pm with a lunch hour from 12-1pm. - Patient encounters per shift: 15. - Perform procedures such as occipital nerve blocks and trigger point injections. - No radiologic exam interpretation, diagnostic/therapeutic taps, lumbar or subdural taps required. - No thrombolytic therapy, nerve or muscle biopsy, brain death exam, evoked potentials, pain management procedures, peripheral nerve blocks, spinal/paraspinal/epidural blocks, sleep studies, or disability evaluations required. - Facility does not require trauma level or pediatric level certifications. Preferred Skills: - Experience with patient interactions and providing high-quality neurologic care.
