Are you a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatrist with a passion for serving a diverse population? The Mental Health Service at our Bakersfield Community-Based Outpatient Clinic is seeking talented professionals to provide exceptional care to our nation s Veterans.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver a full range of psycho-diagnostic services and therapeutic interventions.
* Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team, including primary care, psychology, nursing, and social work professionals.
* Provide medication management for patients with various mental health disorders.
* Offer supportive psychotherapy and facilitate medication support groups when indicated.
* Evaluate and provide medical clearance for patients requiring psychiatric hospitalization.
* Conduct crisis assessments and interventions.
* Participate in treatment planning conferences and coordinate consults and referrals for specialty mental health services.
* Contribute to the education and mentorship of psychiatry residents and medical students through our affiliation with UCLA, with eligibility for a health sciences faculty appointment at the UCLA Geffen School of Medicine.

* Qualifications:
* Medical degree and completed residency in Psychiatry.
* Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.

* Competitive Salary Range: $280,000-$290,000, Final Salary determination within this range.
* Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
