Senior Manager - Software Development and Engineering

Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.As Manager of Software Development Engineering for Schwab Order Management System, you will be managing an organization of 10 to 15 individual contributors, process, and quality of service improvements, strategic planning, project management for software within the team, and management of resources across teams. Work closely with your developers, product, design, and other engineering leads to define the strategy, agreement priorities, and cultivate a highly collaborative and effective cross-functional team. The technical scope includes the core client experience, overall serving stack, application performance, and system reliability.The ideal candidate will be passionate about building high performing teams and solving the toughest software challenges; you’ll be excited by working at huge scales, and you’ll have a proven record of delivering highly operable and maintainable software projects on time. Additionally, the role requires not only managerial expertise but also hands-on proficiency with .Net technology, including coding-level knowledge, to guide the team effectively and provide technical leadership.
