ABOUT THE TEAM
You will be an integral part of a team responsible for delivering a powerful, scalable next-generation vehicle platform for future Toyota and Lexus vehicles. This platform will comprise a new centralized electrical architecture powered by Arene, Woven Planet's flagship programmable automotive software system that integrates on-vehicle OS and data collection services with the cloud.
This team will deliver concept hardware and software solutions driven by high-quality UX research that defines an end-to-end product definition for Toyota's next-generation vehicles. This concept work will produce a full-stack solution starting with the digital services, the programmable software system, and the underlying compute and electrical architecture of the vehicle.
This team represents the cutting edge of software and hardware development at Toyota. Your work will marry the speed and agility of Silicon Valley software development with the standards of functional safety, craftsmanship, and time-tested quality of Toyota products in a fast-paced, prototyping environment.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
As a member of the Arene Advance Development's Platforms and Integration team, you will work on developing and expanding on core services and modules of the prototyping SDK, focusing on adaptability, scalability and performance, as well as integrating various parts of the stack for unique and unified development experiences in next-generation vehicles.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop and deploy software solutions for vehicles Develop and integrate core services into our prototyping SDK Maintain and improve upon existing services and software modules Integrate various software solutions into the system to unlock new experiences for developers Deploy and iteratively test, debug and optimize software services and modules Work closely with team members with different skill sets and expertise, other teams, and external partners MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S., M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical and demonstrated experience Experience in software development and strong programming skills in C/C++ and/or Python Experience building system applications and/or frameworks for autonomous systems (ADAS, robotics, automation, etc) is a plus Experience developing software for embedded or real-time systems is a plus Experience developing multi-threaded, multi-core and multi-system software is a plus Experience with ROS/ROS2 is a plus Passionately motivated to take ideas from R&D phase to a product Good team player with great communication skills
The base pay for this position ranges from $112,000- $184,000 a year
Your base salary is one part of your total compensation. We offer a base salary, short term and long term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package. The total compensation offered to an employee will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and level.
