Job Description Medline continues to grow, and grow, and grow, and that growth has enabled us to add an application development lead to our Information Services team. The Embedded IT Applications Manager will lead a team of developers in creating, implementing, and maintaining solutions for the embedded IT team. They will lead a team that works with the business, to help our Distributed product division improve their processes, efficiency, and customer experience. The best candidate will have a solid understanding of data, automation, and modern app development, as well as experience working with business partners. They will also have experience leading a team of 6-8 people and operating in a fast-growing division. Responsibilities:
Manage a team of software engineers and provide guidance, feedback, and coaching. Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of applications using low-code platforms such as Outsystems. Ensure the quality, performance, security, and scalability of the applications. Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to define and prioritize the product roadmap and deliverables. Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and processes for software engineering. Monitor and report on the progress, status, and issues of the projects. Identify and resolve any technical or operational challenges. Keep up to date with the latest trends and technologies in software engineering and low code platforms. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing 6-8 people. Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices. Proficient in one or more programming languages such as .Net, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. Experience in working with databases, web services, APIs, and cloud platforms. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with Robotics Process Automation and Business Intelligence. Familiarity in developing applications using low-code platforms such as Outsystems, or similar. Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment. Passionate about delivering high-quality and user-friendly products. Benefits
