Job Summary

Under limited supervision, the Tool & Die Maker is responsible for troubleshooting injection mold issues, conduct preventative maintenance practices, and recommend and execute continuous improvement for injections molds. The Tool & Die Maker must have incredible attention to detail, is excellent at multi-tasking, is extremely organized, has a high-energy, empathetic, positive attitude, and can work well independently and with others.
Job Description MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain and repair existing tooling for production, demonstrating proper knowledge of tool/die, timing, and rework techniques
Set up and operate machine tools, such as lathes, milling machine, and grinder, to machine parts, and verify conformance of machined parts to specifications
Study specifications, such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualize product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts
Maintain and efficiently perform production assignments/expectations from supervisor within allotted time period per the production schedule
Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults, and concerns to management
Ensure all work is undertaken to a high-quality standard and adheres to all quality standard regulations
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Certification / Licensure: Successful completion of Journeyman Tool Maker training through an accredited institution or equivalent
Work Experience: 5 years of tool & die experience
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Must be able to work in fast-paced environment with frequent communication with others in the shop
Knowledge of injection molding machines and associated support equipment required
