The opportunity is with an established firm that specializes in employment litigation and counseling for businesses and individuals. We are seeking driven candidates with at least 3 years of civil litigation and federal court experience in a busy law firm setting. A paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program or Bachelor's degree is required for consideration. The incoming paralegal will provide support multiple attorneys for a wide range of complex employment litigation and counseling matters involving single-plaintiff and multi party matters, workplace investigations, and other traditional labor and employment claims. We are seeking a dynamic self starter with a strong work ethic who values teamwork, organizational culture, and growth. Interested candidates must have strong foundational knowledge of federal civil procedure and federal court experience. Previous experience drafting discovery requests and litigation documents is strongly preferred.Job Responsibilities: Prepare draft of requests for interrogatories, production of documents, and notice of depositions Draft basic legal documents (motions, notice of deposition, notice of filing, etc.) to be filed with the court Manage litigation dockets and case files Calendaring, e-filing, and monitoring deadlines for active cases Conduct legal research using legal softwares such as LexisNexis, Westlaw, and others. Assist attorneys with trial preparation and attend arbitrations, depositions, and trials as needed Prepare document binders for depositions, hearings, and trials.
