Relocation Assistance (based on eligibility) NCAII (Breast/GYN/Endocrine Oncology) Clinic 2-2 Duke Cancer Center Duke Cancer Center Clinic 2-2 is a multidisciplinary clinic that houses multiple specialties including - Breast Medical Oncology, Breast Surgical Oncology, GYN Medical/Surgical Oncology, and Endocrine Medical/Surgical Oncology. The NCA is a key member of a multi-disciplinary patient care team, which includes providers, residents, fellows and nurses. The PCT has the skills and knowledge to provide quality, patient-centered care through effective communication with the inter-professional cancer care team. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. No nights, weekends, or holidays. Duties and Responsibilities of this Level: Performing basic rooming duties with accurate vital signs, weight, height, and Epic rooming activities such as informing the provider and RN of information that was collected Set up and assist in clinical procedures for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures Maintain inventory of supplies and reorder as required Perform finger sticks for blood glucose, with appropriate training and as directed by RN Collect, deliver, and conduct routine tests on patient specimens, Clean assigned area, stock and replenish equipment as required Minimum Education/Training Requirements: Nursing Assistant 2 (NA2) certification Working knowledge of sterile techniques and special procedures and safety precautions Ability to withstand prolonged standing and walking Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions Ability to document and communicate pertinent information using computer Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, family, and hospital staff Experience: Experienced preferred but will train the right candidate Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification: BLS Certification from the American Heart Association Active Nursing Assistant 2 (NA2) Certification in North Carolina Duke is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing employment opportunity without regard to an individual's age, color, disability, gender, gender expression, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or veteran status.
