Job Description:**$2,000 Sign-on/Retention Bonus****Sign-on bonus is reserved for new hires meeting eligibility criteria**BHMG Internal Medicine & Pediatrics75 Nature TrailRadcliff, KYThe Admin Medical Assistant (MA) Admin role will be responsible for the coordination of patient care activities. This position requires a versatile professional who can seamlessly transition between clinical and administrative responsibilities.Duties include but are not limited to the following: patient medical history information, navigating electronic health records system (EPIC), scheduling and following-up with appointments and assisting with medication fill and refill requests, checking for prior authorizations and scheduling tests, procedures, consultations, and other in basket types as assigned. The MA will communicate with pharmacies, insurance companies, patients and physicians in a respectful manner and will uphold Baptist's mission and core values that drive service excellence.Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency plus:Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information, plus.Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate to be received within 90 days, plus one of the followingPrior working experience in a medical office/clinic performing clinical MA duties.Upon hire these disciplines will be assessed for clinical competency and be required to successfully complete an MA orientation | externship as well as complete any additional training as required by the Provider.Or a Certified MA from the National Health Career Association (NHA).Upon hire these disciplines will be assessed for clinical competency and be required to successfully complete an MA orientation | externship as well as complete any additional training as required by the Provider.Or completed any MA education program, but has not received certification as of yet.Upon hire these disciplines will be assessed for clinical competency and be required to successfully complete an MA orientation | externship as well as complete any additional training as required by the Provider.Preferred Requirements for Certified Medical Assistant:Current MA Certification from AAMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, AAMP.Or graduate of an accredited LPN or RN program with current Licensure without restrictions.Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information.Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate, within 90 days.If you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply now!Baptist Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
