Central Valley Ag Grinding is hiring: Heavy Equipment / Truck Mechanic in Oakdal

Position Summary: Perform skilled and complex diagnosis and mechanical repairs to hydraulic and electrical systems of heavy equipment and trucks. Perform the duties of a mechanic involved in inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, fabricating, rebuilding and preventative maintenance requirements on light and heavy-duty equipment.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Extensive ability to diagnose and perform repairs on hydraulic and electrical systems of light and heavy equipment such as loaders, trucks, gradalls, and tractors
• Use electrical diagnostic equipment and computer programs (ex. scanners and laptops)

·       Perform mechanical repairs on both light and heavy-duty equipment such as loaders, trucks, gradalls and tractors.

• Perform the duties of a mechanic involved in hands on repairs and maintenance of vehicles.
• Inspect equipment, analyze trouble and plan sequence of repair operations.
• Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventative maintenance.
• Maintains equipment records by annotating services and repairs.
• Investigate complaints and equipment malfunctions.

Minimum Qualifications and Characteristics:

·       10+ years of experience with electrical diagnostic equipment and computer programs

• Experience and considerable knowledge of the methods, materials and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of various types of heavy equipment and other power-driven equipment and tools.
• Must have own tool box and tools
• Experience in the operation of a variety of tools and equipment used in the repair of trucks and heavy equipment.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Ability to analyze and repair mechanical failures.
• Ability to work effectively and establish good working relationships with other employees.
• Good Communication – Able to describe equipment problems to supervisor and discuss equipment issues with employees (English)
• Able to fully and accurately complete required maintenance paperwork
• Valid CA Driver’s License—may drive company vehicle on the property or on the road
• Reliable

• Exposure to the elements; may work outside in summer and winter conditions
