Job: School Social Worker
Location: Lake County, Illinois, 60060
Position Type: Full-time
Hours: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM (7.5 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Join AnthroMed Education’s dedicated team!! This role is at a wonderful therapeutic day school committed to providing highly individualized and supportive environments for K-12th graders. This school focuses on students with Autism, developmental and communication deficits, and sensory needs. With a structured setting and a 1:1 student-teacher ratio, we strive to create an environment where every student can thrive. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School Social Worker to work collaboratively with our team and support our students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development. In this role, you will work with approximately 4 classes, each consisting of 6-8 students.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement effective support plans.
- Facilitate communication between students, parents, and school staff.
- Assess and address social and emotional issues impacting student learning.
- Support students in developing coping strategies and social skills.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEPs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and interventions.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
- PEL License
- IDFPR License
