Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/07/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Minimum Years of Experience: 2 yrs in any inpatient acute care setting OR 1 yr in ortho. Traveler Experience: Unit will accept 1st time travelers WITH EPIC EXPERIENCE Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes Skills: IV Start, and Telemetry. Certs: BCLS, NIH PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: ACLS, Charge Nurse Experience, Level I Trauma Experience JOB DETAILS: Ratios: EXPECT 5-6:1 RATIO, can flex up to 7:1 but only in extreme cases. Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays SHIFT: 12 HOUR NIGHTS 36 Hours or 48 Hours can be offered. If Accepting 48 hours, No OT until after 48 hours. 7 Days RTO Max Float Requirement: REQUIRED, YES, Travelers could be required to float to any other med surg unit within the facility to meet staffing needs based on census. Weekend Requirement: Every other WEEKEND required. (IF RN calls out on a weekend, they will be required to make that time up on a weekend). PATIENT POPULATION: Avg. Daily Census: 37. Rooms: 39; Beds: 39. Patient Population: Orthopedic, Neuro spine, Med-surg, Post-surgical. PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Covid patients are no longer cohorted (moved to a specific Covid unit). All Covid patients unless they end up in ICU are taken care of on all units wherever they are when they are confirmed . SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: FAST PACED UNIT. Ortho and spine patients requiring nurses who can stay on top of their pain management. SCHEDULING TYPE: Unit is willing to give the option of block scheduling for this position (F/S/S OR S/S/M schedule).
