Certification Details Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE OR License Required Job Details Specialty: L&D Hospital system: N/A Contract Length: 13 weeks Job Requirements ACLS, BLS, Stable; OR License Required Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE Experience or 'Must have' skills based on experience RNs required to titrate drips: Yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Pitocin, LR, Fentanyl, Labatelol Schedule Information Shifts & Scheduling: Am/PM 12 hour shifts. Yearly core schedules in place. Weekend Requirement: every other weekend or 1 weekend based on seniority Holiday Requirement: Per ONA contract Is there a call or standby requirement? 2 12 hour shifts required per schedule Unit Specific Information Unit L&D/PP/MB Number of L&D Beds: 9 Number of OR Suites: 1 Number of triage beds: 2 Number of Postpartum beds: 4 Number of births per day, per year: 850-900 Do ratios follow AWHONN guidelines? Yes Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Both Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit? OB Techs Is OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7? No Is there tele on this unit? Telemetry is available. RN’s read strips in OB. Monitor techs upstairs if continuous monitoring required. Floating Requirements: Closed Unit, unless emergency measures in place Unit/Department specific orientation: Completed on all new and incoming employees Additional Details Common diagnoses/Types of patients: LDRP, Obstetrical emergencies, Hypertension, Hemorrhage Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes Is OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7? No Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? Telemetry is available. RN’s read strips in OB. Monitor techs upstairs if continuous monitoring required. EFM System: GE Centricity Floating Requirements: Closed Unit, unless emergency measures in place Scrub Color/Dress code: Scrubs provided. Color Purple Unit/Department specific orientation: Completed on all new and incoming employees
