Certification Details Current/valid Driver's License/State ID or government photo ID required ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required for certain specialties) BLS - Basic Life Support PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring Tech Cert Verification - National State License 1 Verification NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP) CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute Job Details Unit will accommodate 1st timers that have 2 years experience Patient Diagnoses: Chest pain, CAD, PVD, arrhythmias, DM, COPD exacerbation, PNA, HTN, MI, renal failure, PE, CHF, GI bleed, syncope. Always potential for med-surg overflow (e.g., GI bleed, sepsis, CVA, COVID ) Special Procedures/Unit Details: Pre/post cath lab, PPM/AICD, ablations, vascular surgeries (CEAs, fem-pops), Titration of drips (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Nitroglycerin, Dopamine, heparin); Sheath pulling at bedside Special Equipment: Telemetry monitoring, Chest Tubes, PCAs, Epidurals, Wound Vacs Job Requirements Required Certs/Skills: BLS, Telemetry, Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, On unit monitoring, CABG, Chest tubes, Post angiogram, MI, Cardiac Cath, and sheath removal, Port accessing, Blood product administration, Central line, Peripheral line, and PICC line care/management, Starting IVs, Titrate cardiac drips, Titrate vasoactive drips, Isolation precautions, Wound care/management Schedule Information - Every other holiday - Can be pulled to all other inpatient units - Unable to guarantee any specific scheduling requests (e.g., block scheduling) Unit Specific Information Unit will accommodate 1st timers that have 2 years experience Patient Diagnoses include a variety of conditions such as CAD, PVD, arrhythmias, MI, and more Special Procedures/Unit Details: Pre/post cath lab, Sheath pulling at bedside, etc.
