Position Summary

The Financial Analyst reports directly to the Manager FP&A and is responsible for corporate financial consolidation and management of the financial consolidation software. The position will provide financial insight to drive strategic, operational, and corporate objectives with a focus on continuous improvement. This role will work with all members of the global Finance team, providing financial support, reporting & analytics, managing global financial policies and assisting with M & A analysis. The Financial Analyst will be an essential business partner to the Protein, Tools & Equipment business segment as well as being a functional expert. In addition, other critical functional responsibilities include budgeting/forecasting, systems management, financial guidance, and oversight; harmonizing policies; deploying and monitoring a corporate standardized internal controls framework; as driving continuous improvement processes globally. This position is a hybrid role which will require approximately 25% travel.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support the financial consolidation processes on a monthly and annual basis including systems management, reporting, analysis, and design.
  • Support global AOP process and procedures to ensure alignment among the business units and optimization of the process.
  • Support external and internal financial reporting to creditors, investors, banks, Board of Directors, and Bettcher staff.
  • Provide internal controls development and management along with the global balance sheet to ensure integrity of financials and business processes.
  • Maintain and promote compliance with all corporate financial requirements.
  • Work with senior finance management to ensure achievement of corporate objectives and strategies.
  • Provide merger and acquisition support as well as financial integration including internal controls implementation, financial oversight, ERP system integration / implementation and financial oversight.
  • Support and champion the use of the Financial Consolidation System (Adaptive) through ad hoc analysis, collaboration with Finance leadership and applying a creative approach to reports and data management.
  • Ability to accurately analyze and prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (CPA/CMA/MBA a plus)
  • 5-7 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment or public accounting; with a thorough knowledge of published applicable accounting and reporting standards
  • Previous systems experience / exposure as it pertains to consolidation software (Adaptive or Hyperion a plus)
  • Experience with performing EBITDA walks, DMI analysis and reconciliations
  • Strong Excel and data analytic skills and the ability to organize large amounts of data into useful information and reports
  • Excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively interact with various levels of the organization
  • Able to manage multiple priorities with stringent deadlines
  • Possess strong organizational skills and initiative
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
