Psychiatrist needed in Indianapolis, IN Loan Repayment, Tuition Assistance, Heavy Benefits, 401k, Generous PTO, CME, Malpractice, Licensing + More Job Title: Psychiatrist Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Organization: Leading Behavioral Health and Developmental Disability Provider Job Summary: A well-established not-for-profit organization in Indiana is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join their team. The Psychiatrist will provide high-quality care to individuals in residential and outpatient settings, focusing on diagnosing, treating, and managing mental health conditions for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role is part of a mission-driven organization that provides innovative and effective healthcare services to underserved communities. Key Responsibilities: * Provide psychotropic medication management for patients in residential and outpatient settings. * Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with emotional, social, cognitive, developmental, or behavioral disorders. * Collaborate with patients families and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care. * Supervise behavioral health services provided * Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans and medications as needed. * Perform crisis interventions when necessary. * Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting treatments, medications, and progress. * Partner with healthcare providers, including primary care physicians and nurses, to ensure a coordinated approach to care. * Provide training and supervision to staff in therapeutic crisis intervention techniques. Qualifications: * Education: MD or DO with board certification in Psychiatry (mental health and/or addictions medicine). * Experience: Previous experience working with children and adults with Severe Mental Illness (SMI), Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED), Substance Use Disorder (SUD), or Co-Occurring Disorders (CoD) preferred. * Licensure: Valid Indiana medical license or ability to obtain prior to employment. * Other Requirements: * Successful completion of pre-employment background check, drug screening, and physical requirements. * Strong ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and team members.
