Description

The Estimator - Commercial Construction

  • Conduct thorough analysis of project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to determine project requirements and scope of work.
  • Prepare and present accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and complete cost estimates.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other industry professionals to ensure the most competitive pricing for materials and services.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather relevant information for accurate cost estimates.
  • Provide timely and accurate estimates to meet bid deadlines.
  • Participate in value engineering efforts to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
  • Review and analyze bid proposals to determine project feasibility and profitability.

Profile

A successful Estiamtor - Commercial construction will possess the following skills -

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam, On Screen Takeoff, and MS Suite.
