Overview: This position will serve as a recruiter and training instructor in nursing education and healthcare education. The Training Program Instructor will primarily teach courses onsite at the College of Nursing in Cape Girardeau, MO. Current course duration is 5-weeks onsite (with some virtual days built in). After each course, the instructor will work remotely and attend recruiting events as necessary. The instructor will also attend networking and partnership development meetings with Southeast Missouri as well. This position may require periodic (weekly/monthly) travel within the grant designated counties.
The following 29 Missouri counties in the Lower Mississippi Delta Initiative (NPS) will be served:
Bollinger, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Crawford, Dent, Douglas, Dunklin, Howell, Iron, Madison, Mississippi, New Madrid, Oregon, Ozark, Pemiscot, Perry, Phelps, Reynolds, Ripley, Scott, Shannon, Ste. Genevieve, St. Francois, Stoddard, Texas, Washington, Wayne, and Wright.
Qualifications: Experience:
Previous experience in academic/training setting or a desire to transition from clinical to an academic setting Required Education: Associate’s degree or higher in healthcare Certifications/License: RN license (Unencumbered) Other: exceptional presentation, communication, networking abilities. Preferred Qualifications: 1+ year of direct healthcare experience 1+ year trainer or educator experience Instructional design; familiarity with course quality metrics Experience developing new courses for certification, especially healthcare-related Experience with a Learning Management System for synchronous/asynchronous delivery Prior experience with Office 365; live documentation; working in a remote setting
