The Career Heavy Assembler position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who does not stray away from a challenge. As a member of the team at Trinity, you will assemble mechanical units, fabricate parts/component subassemblies, or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment. Fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements. Repair units or products that have failed to meet requirements. Prepares materials, surfaces for coverage with glue and insulation material.
Assembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies or complete units. May set up jigs and fixtures. Lays out reference points, positions, aligns, and fits together fabricated parts of metal or fiberglass mold according to blueprint and layout specifications fabrication. May fabricate parts as required. Uses hand tolls, portable tools, hoists and cranes to move materials, parts and assemblies. Follows all safety rules and practices. May be involved in safety committees or initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.
