Job Description

This position is responsible for leading one of our commodity teams in support of ECS Procurement. This leadership role will help to develop and implement key commodity sourcing strategies to satisfy all objectives. This candidate will help lead a team of buyers to assist the formulation and implementation of sourcing strategies, participate on cross-functional teams to ensure that BAE Systems leverages spend, effectively utilizes resources, drives to best practices and improves overall supplier performance management by keeping track and monitoring metrics. This position works closely with many internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to supply chain management, quality, manufacturing, and programs. The successful candidate must be able to be an effective communicator, build mutually beneficial relationships, be willing to advance their knowledge of procurement compliance, and proactively adopt best practices and support new initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Strong business acumen with excellent written, verbal, and listening skills. Ability to successfully interface with supplier leadership teams. Data driven decision maker; ensures compliance with policies and procedures. Strong communication skills with an assertive and forthcoming professional demeanor. Ability to operate in a demanding and dynamic culture. Proven track record in change management and continuous improvement, and sourcing strategies. Support supplier development, negotiations, administration, supplier improvement and management. Manage and present metrics on a weekly basis, and at Monthly Business Reviews (MBR’s) Detailed knowledge and experience with enterprise ERP systems (Oracle) Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelors’ Degree and 4 years of work experience Ability to execute/ oversee the direct procurement of electronic components Familiarity with FAR/DFAR regulations and Export Control requirements Experience leading major procurement efforts in a Department of Defense (DOD) contracting environment

Demonstrated ability to resolve contractual and performance issues with suppliers Project / Supplier Management

Financial Acumen Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills Work effectively in a team environment Proven problem solving capabilities Have hands-on experience with MRP systems Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)

Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $78760 - $133870

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
