We are seeking a skilled and experienced Business Systems Analyst having a background in financial services and/or the mortgage loan industry. This role supports our mortgage loan operations and focuses on enhancing business processes, optimizing systems, and delivering effective IT solutions. The role will review, analyze, and evaluate user needs and system experiences to document, design, customize, and advise on building solutions that support overall business strategies, and improve quality and efficiency for processes and understanding of existing or new systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders across business units to identify, analyze, and document requirements for various projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*: * Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to collect, analyze, validate, and document business and system requirements for financial and mortgage loan purposes. * Demand Management: Lead or participate in the development of use cases, user stories, workflows, and process diagrams. * Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical and business documentation, including workflows, data mappings, data dictionary, and business rules. * Data Analysis & Reporting: Develop SQL and T-SQL queries to analyze data, create Power BI reports, to support data-driven analysis and decision-making. * Process Analytics: Conduct gap analyses between current state and desired state of business processes and systems. * Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve business processes, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiencies within the loan servicing lifecycle. * Stakeholder Communication: Function as a liaison between IT and business units, ensuring clear communication and managing stakeholder expectations effectively. * QA/Test Support Activities: Occasionally test and validate system changes to ensure they meet business requirements and function as expected, including writing and executing test cases. * Subject Matter Expert: Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies in financial services and mortgage lending. * Trusted Advisor: Advise on and support reporting requests and calculations for ad-hoc reporting, data analysis to support projects and troubleshoot user issues/questions, development of new system fields, and process improvements. * SDLC Management: Oversee the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) for assigned projects, from initial requirements gathering through to testing and implementation.
*Qualifications:* * Proficiency in SQL and T-SQL for querying, data analysis, and troubleshooting. * Strong hands-on experience with JIRA for project management and Agile workflow configuration. * In-depth knowledge of Agile methodology and Scrum practices, with experience facilitating Agile ceremonies. * Familiarity and use with Power BI for data visualization and reporting. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio). * Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), with experience managing projects through the full lifecycle. * Cursory understanding of the mortgage loan industry, including loan origination and servicing. * Experience in the identification and subsequent definition of KPIs * Business and systems analysis, including the ability to translate complex business requirements into functional specifications. * 3 to 5+ years’ experience as it pertains to building technical business requirements, analyzing process workflows in and outside of systems, reporting, data analysis, application support, and technical project implementation.
*Education and/or Experience:* * Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. * Sigma Six and/or PMI PMP Certification is a plus. * Credentials/Training in mortgage systems a plus
