Forklift Mechanic Job at 3PL Center in Robbinsville

Salary: $52,000 - $65,000 Per Year DOE

Looking to immediately hire an experienced Forklift Mechanic, in Robbinsville NJ. Duties to include performing repairs, and troubleshooting on forklift and some facilities work. MUST HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE REPAIRING FORKLIFTS AND/OR PALLET JACKS. 

• Troubleshoot, install, repair and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components of equipment adhering to lockout tagout procedures and other safety guidelines.
• Will work on cylinder heads, hydraulic hoses, some electrical (more so mechanical), 3 phase motors, and generators
• Perform general facility repairs, including but not limited to building, grounds, lighting and plumbing.
• Dismantle machinery to perform repairs, detect wear, misalignment and other problems. Reassemble machines, make all necessary adjustments and test operations.
• Replace broken or defective parts on equipment or facility as required.
• May prepare written specifications for major repairs or production of parts; make up bill of materials, select proper materials, tools and equipment and complete requisitions for same.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Prior Maintenance experience on forklifts (pallet jacks, forklifts-propane sit down, and yard trucks)
• Must have excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, knowledge for use of mechanical/pneumatic tools, measuring equipment, automated system and forklifts.
• Some computer experience required.

Desired Qualifications:

• Ability to perform varied welding functions to include Stick, MIG, Plasma Cutter. Understand different types of Welding Rod/Wire/Shielding Gas.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Forklift certified.
• Ability to understand equipment and tool drawings
