Location: Brookings, SD
Supervisor: Teller Supervisor - Universal Banker
Workdays/Hrs: Monday - Friday (8am-5:30pm)
Saturday (rotation 8am – 11am)

Our Customer Service Representative opportunity is responsible for performing a variety of financial transactions and services for our customers, ensuring an excellent experience. Customer Service Representatives will assist with promoting the bank’s services and products while maintaining accuracy and compliance with all banking regulations. This position plays a vital role in establishing strong relationships with our customers and supporting the bank’s growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service
- Provide friendly and professional service to all customers, addressing their banking needs and resolving any issues.
- Proactively identify customer needs and recommend bank products and services, such as checking accounts, CD’s, savings accounts, loans, and credit cards.
- Build relationships with customers to foster loyalty and promote the bank's community-focused values.
Teller Functions
- Process customer transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing.
- Balance cash drawer at the end of each shift, ensuring discrepancies are reported and corrected.
- Issue cashier’s checks, money orders, and other financial services.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding account balances, interest rates, fees, and other banking products.
- Assist customers with the use of ATMs, mobile banking, and online services.
- Adhere to all security and compliance procedures, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree in finance or business preferred).
- 1-2 years of experience in banking or financial services, with teller experience preferred.
- Strong math and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
