IPO Readiness Accounting Consultants Needed

  1. Location: Tampa/Clearwater, FL (Onsite Preferred; Remote with Periodic Travel Considered)
  2. Duration: 9-12 Months
  3. Compensation: Up to $100/Hour (W2). Increased compensation considerations for 1099/C2C Consultants
Our client, a leading CPA firm, is seeking experienced IPO Readiness Accounting Consultants to support a high-growth client preparing to go public in the next 9-12 months. This role is an exciting opportunity for accounting professionals with a strong background in public accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance to play a key role in guiding a company through the IPO process. Role Overview

As an IPO Readiness Consultant, you'll work closely with the client's finance and executive teams to ensure a smooth, compliant, and successful transition to a public company. This is a contract role requiring up to 40 hours per week, with a high degree of collaboration with both the client's and CPA firm's teams. Ideal candidates are in the Tampa/Clearwater area or can travel periodically if working remotely.

  4. SEC Filings and Documentation
  5. Governance and Audit Committee Support
  6. Financial Systems and Process Optimization
  7. Project Management and IPO Readiness Assessment
Qualifications
  1. CPA required; advanced understanding of SEC regulations and GAAP is essential.
  2. 5+ years of experience in public accounting, with a background in Audit, Advisory, or IPO preparation.
  3. Hands-on experience with IPO readiness, SOX compliance, and SEC filings.
  4. Strong knowledge of ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and ASC 842 (Lease Accounting).
  5. Demonstrated experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and complex financial consolidation.
  6. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP), financial reporting tools, and advanced Excel skills.
  7. Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
Preferred
  1. Candidates local to the Tampa/Clearwater area or willing to travel periodically if remote.
  2. Experience in high-growth, pre-IPO, or publicly traded companies.
