MASTER SCHEDULER
SUMMARY
The Master Scheduler coordinates and prioritize the activity of the Production Planning team for the site, in order to maximize both customer service and shop floor productivity while maintaining inventory at the agreed upon requirements. The Master Scheduler is responsible for the proper communication of the production plan to the production teams. Establishes in coordination with the production teams the capacity plan and forecast for review during the SIOP process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develops and implements production control monitoring tools and capacity analysis tools.
- Determines and communicates lead time to the sales department and make sure that all tools (ERP) are fully updated.
- Responsible for Production throughput monitoring activities in all factories.
- Responsible for the creation, maintenance and integrity of the product lines fields in the ERP system
- Manage his/her team of Production Planners to optimize both customer service and shop floor productivity while maintaining the various stocks at a reasonable level.
- Establish in coordination with the production teams the capacity plan and forecast for review during the SIOP process.
- Determine and communicate lead times to all relevant parties
- Identify capacity overloads to appropriate manufacturing managers and supervisors based on expected demands.
- Prepare master schedules based on inputs from sales force, customers and sales history that will meet expected demand levels and conform to available capacity and manpower.
- Ensures that customer backlog is analyzed for part groupings and balance against delivery requirements.
- Provides output analysis of key production monitors.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing production planning field.
- Interact with all levels of employees including but not limited to shop floor, Supervisors, Sales Team, General Managers, Process Engineers, Project Engineers, Customers, and Purchasing on a regular basis.
- Provide training to production planners on ERP system.
- Provide delivery quotes as requested by Logistics Coordinators.
- Monitor ERP runs and assist Logistics Coordinators with resolution of customer fulfillment.
- Communicate adjustments in demand to the organization and ensure appropriate level of urgency is recognized.
- Maintain MPS to reflect best data available in regard to forecast, lead times, safety stock and deliveries that consider both customer service and inventory goals.
- Analyze customer requirements and take prompt, appropriate action and elevates issues to Director of Logistics as necessary
- Performs ad hoc tasks and analysis.
- Interviewing, evaluating, hiring, training, motivating, supervising, and disciplining all assigned personnel under general supervision.
- Responsible for the supporting and implementing company safety programs for assigned departments.
- Performs personnel functions; Coaches for improved performance, identifies/develops high potential employees, conducts performance evaluations, disciplinary action and recommends compensation increases within company guidelines.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of ISO policies, procedures, and directives.
- Ensure all people placed under assigned area of responsibility, or all persons who may be affected by equipment or processes placed under their responsibility are complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local and State government, and LISI Aerospace policies, procedures and plans.
- Responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements and safe operating procedures at all times.
- All employees are required to bring any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management's attention immediately.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education and/or Experience
- B.S. Degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
- APICS or ISM certification is a plus.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Working experience of manufacturing environment procedures.
- Working knowledge of relevant engineering standards is a plus.
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform strong affinity for mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Advance comprehensive concepts of calculating fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems collects data, abstract, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract concrete variables.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of MS Office, Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Access, Intermediate VBA language.
