PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the Director of Guidance and Counseling, the Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) will be a critical member of our district's wellness team, responsible for delivering targeted mental health and social-emotional training to staff and counseling support to students. This role will support secondary campus initiatives to foster safe, inclusive, and positive school climates. In addition to training staff, LMSWs will provide individualized and group counseling services to students through a structured referral process under the district's Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- Master's degree in Social Work
- Valid LMSW licensure
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of ACEs, Social Emotional Learning (SEL) development, anti-bullying strategies, and best practices in student mental health and crisis intervention.
- Strong data analysis skills to assess the impact of programs and adjust interventions as needed.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and cultural competency skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Familiarity with MTSS frameworks and community mental health resources is preferred.
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in applying trauma-informed care approaches in individual and group settings to support students who may have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) or other forms of trauma.
- Proven skills in crisis intervention and conflict resolution to address and de-escalate critical situations involving students or staff.
- Experience managing a caseload of students and providing direct counseling support, including assessing needs, documenting interventions, and referring families to community resources as needed.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams (e.g., counselors, administrators, teachers, external agencies) to coordinate and enhance student support services.
- Experience in tracking and analyzing program outcomes, ideally within a grant-funded environment, to ensure service effectiveness and compliance with program goals.
