The opportunity

The Market Development Account Manager is responsible for securing access to and reimbursement for Teva’s psychiatric products and other therapies by building and nurturing strong relationships, primarily with large mental health facility and specialty pharmacy stakeholders and government organizations.

A successful individual in this role:

Develops effective business plans to meeting and exceed territory-level goals

Builds rapport and relationships by interacting effectively with internal and external contacts at all levels, demonstrating awareness of their needs and responding with appropriate action

Demonstrates a collaborative approach and coordinates efforts between sales leadership, other sales teams, Market Access, Sales Operations, and Sales Training

Reviews and analyzes weekly/monthly data reports to identify trends and develop plans to address areas of concern

Thinks, plans, and acts strategically with long term focus versus task orientation

How you’ll spend your day

Develop and nurture strong relationships with key customers such as healthcare institutions, hospitals, clinics, mental health facilities, specialty pharmacies, and government organizations.

Leverage in-depth knowledge of Teva’s psychiatric products and therapies to provide expert guidance and support to key accounts with a focus on large mental health facilities.

Create and implement strategic account plans tailored to each key customer and align them with the company’s objectives; act as point on large regional psychiatric facility accounts.

Identify the unique needs and challenges of each key account and propose customized solutions that align with Teva’s products and services.

Partner with the Specialty Pharmacy team to develop plans that align with the goals of the specialty pharmacy organization.

Serve as a subject matter expert for cross-functional departments on how CMHCs align with specialty pharmacy organizations for cross-functional departments.

Align specialty pharmacy organizations with large mental health clinics based on the mental health clinics’ needs and goals.

Work closely with internal Teva departments such as Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Supply Chain to address customer needs and resolve any issues promptly.

Identify and provide training and education to key account stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and staff, to ensure proper product utilization and patient care.

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of key account relationships and regularly report progress to senior management.

Gather feedback from key accounts and use it to continuously improve products and services as well as to address any concerns or issues.

Collaborate with payers and government bodies to secure product access and reimbursement for psychiatric treatments.

Perform all functions in compliance with Teva’s policies and procedures.

Your experience and qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

Education/Certification/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required

Minimum of 5 years of Biotech / Pharma experience including customer-facing responsibility. Psychiatric therapeutic areas strongly preferred

Successful track record of achieving sales goals

Experience in pertinent settings of care (e.g. CHMCs, private practice, specialty pharmacy) and thorough understanding of reimbursement coverage and pull-through strategies

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Ability to interact with customers in live and virtual environments and proficiency with technology

Understanding of the buy-and-bill model

Leadership skills and ability to collaborate with multiple sales teams

Proven written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills

Valid US driver's license and acceptable driving record required

Candidate must be able to successfully pass background, motor and drug screening

Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds

Additionally, U.S. new hires for customer facing roles will be required to complete all credentialing requirements for access to their customers’ targets within 60 days of their start date. Such credentialing requirements may include, but are not limited to, additional vaccinations and medical testing. Any request for an exception to the credentialing requirements will need to be approved by the national sales leader within the first 60 days of employment.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Selected candidate must be able to travel regularly throughout the assigned area and attend meetings at both Teva offices and off-site locations through the US and periodically internationally as required.

Compensation Data

The annual starting salary for this position is between $143,000 – $188,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position may also be eligible for bonus, sales target(s), and/or long-term incentive compensation awards. Level of the role will be commensurate to years of experience and performance criteria.
