The Neuroscience and Epilepsy Clinical Nurse II assesses, coordinates, plans, directs, implements and manages the needs of assigned patients throughout their care with a focus on progress toward discharge. The role involves delivering and coordinating patient care, ensuring competent and compassionate care is provided across various settings. The nurse works to ensure that information is adequately protected from unauthorized access and modification.
Hourly Range: $36.73 - $60.93
Key Responsibilities:
Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures and special tests, and document treatment as required
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests
Assess patient needs and responses to care
Provide primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses
Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients
Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of a professional academic nursing program
Current NYS Registered Nurse license
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
1-3 years of clinical RN experience
1 year of Telemetry or ICU experience
Ability to improve job performance through continuing education
Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques
