We are searching for technology savy Automation Engineers to be involved with our Global Manufacturing client's i4.0 roadmap program. Requires significant expertise in networking, PLCs, machine/ manufacturing interface, data driven problem solving, and value stream support for business/ product growth and sustainability. Job Description: Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure - networking, programming, database, PLCs, computer interface to production machines. Develop and implement projects to support the Value Stream targets in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Costs, CIP. Review and initiate all operation process improvements using lean tools related to networking, shared data and documentation. Lead and develop training documents to support operations. Provide real time demand monitoring and support for all production. Understand and resolve process interruptions and document all operational issues. Support the electrical and mechanical technicians in their daily work to resolve such operational issues. Develop cost reductions through process improvement based on BPS guidelines. Plan and execute changes caused by new suppliers and materials. Support the Time To Market team to bring new products into the market. Execute continuous improvement projects related to areas including machining, assembly, maintenance, testing, and quality. Qualifications: BS Engineering degree with 5 years experience in networking/ automation engineering in manufacturing plants. Knowledge / leadership developing and managing i4.0 programs in manufacturing. Solid experience in programming, PLCs, network architecture, HMI, SCADA and interfacing production machines. Experience Continuous Improvement projects including machinery and PLC/ controls procurement. Effective root cause analysis and problem identification / solving skills. Experience using lean manufacturing principles, CIP and 5S.
