Operating Engineer - UNION IUOE 399 M-F 10-6:00 $46.46/hourly The Operating Engineer supports operation, inspection and maintenance processes to mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems. WHAT YOU'LL DO Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts, plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, hanging pictures, repair office furniture, locksmith work and general maintenance Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks Support on-call or emergency response situations as required Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, plumbing, etc. Comply with all safety procedures Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs Other projects and tasks to be assigned WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE IUOE Local 399 3 years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance) Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) Ability to lift up to 80 lbs Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive Strong customer service skills BEjobs HVACjobs Ejobs FMjobs MMjobs MHVACjobs OEjobs PMjobs PCjobs GMjobs Pjobs ProjMjobs Location: On-site -Chicago, IL If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet all the requirements.
