Data Scientist - TS/SCI Job Category: Science Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local The Opportunity: CACI has an immediate need for a Data Scientist – Mid-level to join our mission critical team located in Frederick, MD in order to meet diverse mission sets in an ever-more complex and information-rich environment within the Defense Intelligence Analysis Program. Responsibilities: Develop and apply fundamental mathematics, mathematical or statistical theory to collect, organize, interpret and summarize numerical data to generate usable information to support te Defense Intelligence All Source Analyst who is responsible for: Political Military, Infrastructure, Military Capability (Cyber and C4I), Advanced All-Source Methods, Counter Intelligence and Transnational. Plan and perform data collection and data for processing by organizing information and checking for inaccuracies. Design, test, install, maintain, operate, and develop in programming/scripting languages including but not limited to Python and SQL. Produce results of analyses in graphs, charts, tables, and metrics using tools such as tableau. Prepare written and visual products to describe and document findings and research. Ensure discoverability of business analytics reporting via corresponding webpages & dashboards. Create new dashboards as needed. Develop & refine quantitative, qualitative & business analysis skills. Maintain awareness of new methods & tools through all appropriate means. Effectively apply IT knowledge in order to deliver solutions that meet customer data needs. Explore and operationalize data sources using scientific processes and technologies to uncover and communicate product and business insights. Apply specific functional knowledge; working/general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance. May review or guide activities of more junior employees. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of directly related experience, or Master’s degree and 2 years directly related experience. Years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree for certain roles. Certifications may be accepted in lieu of a degree for certain technical roles. Experience with using programming languages to manipulate and analyze data, including Python and SQL. Experience with machine learning, data cleansing, and statistical analysis. Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources. Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Natural Language Processing. Ability to create reports and present key insights based on analysis. Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and experience implementing standard NLP methodologies such as TF-IDF or FastText. Experience programming in an AWS cloud environment. Active/current TS/SCI with ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph is required Desired: Amazon Web Services (AWS) certification. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform) or IT configuration management tools (Ansible). Experience with a continuous delivery machine-learning project (e.g. Webapp in production, webserver This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately.
